Columbus, Ohio was founded at the junction of the Scioto and Olentangy
Rivers. With a population of over three quarters of a million
residents, the capital is easily Ohio's largest city. Columbus is
also home to the largest college in the state, Ohio State
University. Visitor attractions are also plentiful. Art
galleries, restaurants, and shopping line the streets of the Short North
Arts District. The Center of Science and Industry (COSI) is
considered one of the top science centers in the nation. The NHL
Columbus Blue Jackets stadium is surrounded by the growing Arena
District, with plenty of dining and entertainment venues. Each
year, the Longaberger Homestead Spring Fling celebrates the basketmaker,
one of the city's most prominent local businesses.
